Terms & Conditions
The terms for entering competitions with Qwandar and using this website.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. About these terms
1.1 These terms apply to every prize competition on this website and to your use of the website and your account. The competitions are run by Qwandar ("we", "us", "our"), the promoter of each competition. Our contact details are on our Contact page.
1.2 By creating an account or entering a competition, you agree to these terms. Each competition page also sets out the details of that competition (see section 4), and those details form part of these terms. If the two ever differ, the competition page applies to that competition.
1.3 Please read these terms alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. The nature of our competitions
2.1 Our competitions are prize competitions. Each one offers a free way to enter by post with exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry (section 7), or asks a question that needs skill, judgement or knowledge to answer correctly (section 8), or both.
2.2 Because of this, our competitions are not lotteries or gambling under the Gambling Act 2005, and they don't need a gambling licence. We still want them to be enjoyed responsibly, and section 16 explains the tools we offer to help.
3. Who can enter
3.1 You must be 18 or over and live in the United Kingdom to enter. We ask you to confirm you're 18 or over when you register and each time you check out.
3.2 Our employees, directors and contractors, anyone professionally connected with running a competition, and members of their immediate families and households can't enter.
3.3 You may hold one account on this website. Entries made through more than one account, through fake details, or by automated means are not valid.
3.4 We check your age and identity, including with photo ID, before paying out a cash balance, and we may ask for proof of your age, identity and address at any time, including before awarding a prize. If you can't provide satisfactory proof, or you don't meet these rules, we may cancel your entries or withhold a prize.
4. What each competition page tells you
Before you enter, each competition page shows: the prize and, where we show it, its value; the entry price; the total number of tickets available; the most tickets one person can have; the draw date; how the winner is drawn, including whether the competition may be drawn early if every ticket sells; any cash alternative; any instant win prizes; and how to enter for free. Please read it before you enter.
5. Your account
5.1 Accounts are for this website only. Keep your login details private: you're responsible for what happens on your account.
5.2 Please keep your details up to date, especially your email address, phone number and postal address, as we use them to tell you if you win.
5.3 You can close your account at any time from your account page. If you have a wallet balance or a withdrawal in progress, please contact us first so we can settle it.
6. Entering online
6.1 To enter online, choose a competition and how many tickets you'd like, answer the question if the competition has one, and pay through our secure checkout. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
6.2 Your entry is only complete once your payment has gone through. We then allocate your ticket numbers, show them in your account and email them to you. If a payment isn't completed, the tickets held for you are released after a short time.
6.3 Ticket numbers are allocated at random unless the competition lets you choose your own numbers. Where you choose numbers, they are held for you while you check out. If one is no longer available when your payment completes, you'll get a randomly allocated number instead, and your confirmation shows the numbers you were actually given.
6.4 You can't have more tickets in a competition than the per-person limit on its competition page, and the same limit applies to free entries.
6.5 Where we offer them, sales, bundles and other offers apply as described where they're shown. Only one offer applies to each competition in your basket, and a discount code can be used on top where its terms allow. An offer ends at its stated end time or once its usage limit is reached.
7. Free entry by post
7.1 Where we offer free entry by post, shown on our Free Entry page and each competition page, you can enter any paid competition for free. A free entry has the same chance of winning as a paid entry: it gets a ticket number from the same pool and goes into the same draw.
7.2 How to enter, the address to write to, and the date your entry must reach us by are on our Free Entry page and the competition page. Our full free entry terms are on the Free Entry page.
7.3 We set each competition's closing date so there's enough time for postal entries to reach us and be entered into the draw. A postal entry can't be entered once every ticket has been allocated.
8. The question
8.1 Where a competition has a question, you need to answer it correctly for your entry to go into the draw and to win any instant win prize. This applies to paid and free entries alike.
8.2 Entries with a wrong answer can't win and are not refunded, so please take your time with it.
9. Closing date and the draw
9.1 Each competition is drawn on its published draw date, whatever the number of tickets sold. We will not reduce the prize, move the draw date or cancel a competition because of low ticket sales.
9.2 Where the competition page says so, a competition may be drawn early once every ticket has sold.
9.3 The winning ticket is picked at random from all valid entries, paid and free, and every valid ticket has an equal chance. Where a competition page explains how its draw works, or we show a draw live or publish a record of it, we'll say so there.
9.4 The result is published on our website. Our decision on the winner is final, but this doesn't affect your right to complain (section 18) or your statutory rights.
9.5 If something outside our reasonable control stops a draw going ahead on its date, such as a technical failure, we'll run it as soon as we reasonably can and let entrants know.
10. Instant wins
10.1 Some competitions include instant win prizes. The winning ticket numbers are set before the competition opens and are shown on the competition page. If one of your tickets matches, you win that prize straight away, as well as keeping your place in the main draw.
10.2 Any reveal game shown after you buy is just a fun way to see your results: your results are decided when your tickets are allocated, and nothing you do in the game changes them.
10.3 Instant win prizes are subject to the same rules as other prizes, including a correct answer to the question where the competition has one. Credit and cash prizes are added to your wallet; for physical prizes we'll be in touch to arrange delivery.
11. Prizes
11.1 Each prize is as described on its competition page. Photos are for illustration, and the prize may differ in minor ways.
11.2 Prizes can't be transferred or exchanged. A cash alternative is only available where the competition page offers one, and then for the amount shown.
11.3 If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we may replace it with one of equal or greater value.
11.4 Unless the competition page says otherwise, prizes don't include insurance, tax, registration, delivery outside mainland UK or running costs. If you win a vehicle, you'll need a valid licence and insurance before driving it.
11.5 Prize winnings in the UK aren't usually taxable for individuals, but please take your own advice if you're unsure.
12. Winners
12.1 We'll contact the winner using the details on their account or their postal entry, and arrange delivery, collection or payment once we've confirmed they're eligible.
12.2 If we can't reach a winner, or they don't reply within 14 days of our first attempt, or they turn out not to be eligible, we may draw a new winner from the remaining valid entries in the same way.
12.3 To announce and confirm results, we show winners' first names and the initial of their surname, with their prize, on our website and social media. If you'd also be happy to share a photo, video or comment, we'll ask you first. If you'd rather we didn't publish your name, just tell us and we'll talk through reasonable alternatives.
13. Your wallet
13.1 Where we offer a wallet, it can hold site credit and, on some sites, a cash balance. They're kept separately.
13.2 Site credit comes from things like instant wins, offers, cashback, referrals or goodwill. It can be used towards entries on this website, has no cash value and can't be withdrawn. Some site credit expires: your wallet shows any expiry date and how much is left. We use the credit that expires soonest first.
13.3 A cash balance is your money. You can ask to withdraw it to a UK bank account in your name, subject to the minimum shown in your wallet and our identity checks, which may include photo ID.
13.4 If an order paid partly with site credit is refunded or cancelled, the credit goes back to your wallet with its original expiry date.
14. Promotions, referrals and games
14.1 From time to time we may run promotions, a refer a friend scheme or games that award bonus tickets or rewards. Each one's rules are shown where it's offered, and our refer a friend terms are on their own page. Bonus or free tickets are entered in the same way as other entries.
14.2 We may change or end a promotion or game where it's reasonable to do so, but we won't take away anything you've already earned under it.
15. Refunds and cancelling
15.1 When you enter, you ask us to start providing the service straight away, so the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 doesn't apply to entries once they're confirmed.
15.2 Entries aren't otherwise refundable, except where the law requires it or we agree to it (for example, a duplicate payment taken in error).
15.3 If we ever have to cancel a competition before it's drawn, for a reason outside our reasonable control or because something has affected its fairness, we'll refund every paid entry to the original payment method (or as site credit, if you paid that way) and let entrants know.
16. Playing responsibly
16.1 Our competitions are for adults, for fun. Please only spend what you can comfortably afford.
16.2 From your account page you can set a weekly or monthly spend limit, including £0. Lowering a limit applies straight away; raising or removing one takes 24 hours. We may also set our own spending limits for everyone, and we'll tell you at checkout if an order would go over one.
16.3 You can pause your account for a short break, or suspend it for 6 months or more. While a break is running you can't enter (including by post) and we won't send you marketing. A break can't be ended early. You can also close your account at any time.
16.4 We keep an eye out for signs that someone may be finding it hard to stay in control, such as repeatedly reaching spend limits. Where we have concerns, we may get in touch, suggest a limit, or pause new entries on an account. That's a protective step, not a penalty: tickets you already have stay in their draws, and your wallet balance stays yours.
16.5 If you'd like support, free and confidential help is available from GamCare (0808 8020 133, gamcare.org.uk), National Debtline (0808 808 4000), Citizens Advice, Samaritans (116 123) and Mind.
17. Fair play and account restrictions
17.1 Please don't try to interfere with a competition or our website, for example by using bots or scripts, more than one account, false details, someone else's payment card, or by misusing chargebacks, offers or referrals.
17.2 If we reasonably believe this has happened, we may restrict your account, cancel the affected entries or withhold a prize. Where we cancel paid entries, we'll refund what you paid for them unless the payment was fraudulent. A cash balance remains yours unless we have good reason to believe it came from fraud, and we'll tell you if we hold it and why.
17.3 A person reviews every restriction before it's applied. If you think we've got it wrong, please contact us and someone not involved in the original decision will look at it under our complaints process.
18. Complaints
18.1 If you're unhappy with anything, please get in touch using the details on our Contact page, with your name, the competition or order and what went wrong. We'll let you know we've received it and aim to give you a full reply within 28 days.
18.2 If you're not happy with our reply, let us know and someone who wasn't involved will take another look. If we still can't resolve it, you may be able to refer it to an independent dispute resolution service, and you can also go to court.
19. Our responsibility to you
19.1 We're responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care. We're not responsible for losses that aren't foreseeable, or for business losses.
19.2 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
19.3 We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of the internet, a payment provider or a courier.
20. Using our website
20.1 We may suspend or change parts of the website for maintenance or improvements, and we'll try to keep any disruption short.
20.2 The content of the website, including our name, logo, text and images, belongs to us or our licensors. Please don't copy or reuse it without our permission.
21. Your personal information
We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, including to run competitions, contact winners, keep competitions fair and help you play responsibly.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how our website works. The version on our website when you enter applies to that entry. We'll let you know about significant changes.
23. General
23.1 If a court finds part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
23.2 Only you and we have rights under these terms. We may transfer our rights to another organisation, and will let you know if we do.
23.3 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
